Rotator Cuff Tear after Shoulder Surgery (ADVANCED STRENGTHENING)
My patient Luke has had 2 shoulder surgeries over the years on BOTH shoulders. On his left he has had a recent bicep tenodesis, and now he has developed an infraspinatus tear. These 2 issues combined give him some anterior instability and pain in the front of the shoulder.
Here are 2 advanced external rotation exercises that we have got him doing.
1. External Rotation (135 deg)
2. Shoulder Press - Anterior Band (no vertical load)

    I literally doin it by 4 months after i dislocated my shoulder.. and now at 6 months i can literally do everything.. basketball, Gym.. Heavy workout for backs too and dumbbells for chest and shoulders you can use machine to but kept yourself away from barbells lol

    Very informative video … thank you! I have FSHD (type of muscular dystrophy) that causes winging bc of compromised muscles in that area. I stay active in gym 3x a week and going to try this … hoping it will help with adjacent muscles that compensate.for compromised !

    grab some weight that you can hold out in front and squeeze both hands into it while adjusting the back so you're squeezing 50/50 exactly the same, worked for me. then you find tricks that work for you

    Watched live ACL reconstruction surgery 2 days ago in the orthopaedic department. It was ACL reconstruction surgery with lateral meniscus repair. The graft used was Peroneus brevis.

    If / when my arm has dislocated if there any bone breakage I’d see bruising at least right ? My arm has dislocated quite a bit of times but I’m afraid to get surgery I have acchs and I feel they don’t give the best of the best which is what I’d want if I went under a knife

    Great video. I have had balance issues my whole life I could never balance one legged on a Bosu like she is doing in the video without holding onto something.     That’s what it means by training “intentionally” - use your brain. Another tip: do a few cat camels, not to end range and end being neutral before executing the exercise. This gives you gentle spine mobility before initiating. Also allows you to feel your core muscles (mind knowing where the core is). And breathe into the spine and brace. And yes, be tall and stay neutral.
